Audio drop out.

Post by Simon Anderson » Sat Mar 19, 2005 9:52 pm

I'm using a Lacie external drive for Ableton data @ 7500 rpm, together with a Power Book G4 and an M Audio Audiophile external card. For some unknown reason:

1) When I load tracks from the external drive they're inaudible but visibly playing.

2) The friggin sound card doesn't always function. When sometimes switched on the front panel buttons keep flashing and produce no signal.

The only way round either problem has been to shutdown (not even restart).

Where shall I start?
Total novice in the field of musical software. My ambition is to become sufficiently competent to play Live as a DJ within 12 month. Realistic?

sorry to hear that.

if you search all around this forum,
I'm sure you will find bad posts with your soundcard.

For the systemwise, try my optimization trick.
