I've got some issues after starting up Ableton since today. After it crashed this afternoon - everytime i will start it "fresh and without clicking on a project" it already has a project loaded - ready to begin.
I just want a new empty one to start a new project.
Does anyone has a guess what it might be?
Thanks.
Using:
Mac OS X 10.7.3
MacBook Air Late 2011
Ableton 8.2.7
Ableton already loaded a project after starting up.

Your preferences were probably trashed in the crash.
Locate the preferences file, delete and set all your preferences over again.

I can't locate the file preference.cfg it is not under Mac OS X: /Users/Library/Preferences/Ableton/doghouse wrote: Locate the preferences file, delete and set all your preferences over again.

At first: Remember if you wanna do something right do it on console!
After i dismissed the GUI and returned to commandline on my Mac i finally found it.
The file is located under /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/Ableton/yourLiveVersion.
But you have to delete the Template.als file - to start Ableton without any project loaded, wich you might have saved as default setup.
Hope this will help you, if you got the same problem.
