hi!
i need some help and can't find a way to do it: is there a way to stop the global timeline via a scene launch in the session view?
i'd like to have a scene that not only stops the clips but also triggers a command to stop abletons timeline running, as if i would press the global (transport) stop button. how do i do that?
hope that my question is clear enough...
thanks,
kostia.

Re: is there a way to stop the timeline via a scene launch?
search the forum for 'dummy clips' and midi loopback
also IAC or midiyoke, depending on whether you're mac or pc
basically you fire a clip which sends midi back into live, which is mapped to the stop button.

hi longjohns,
thank you!
i was actually hoping to do it without MIDI loopback. here's why: i am writing music for a theatre play and will have to hand out the complete live set to somebody else who will play it back during the shows. so obviously i want the set just to work as it is without the guy messing with his audio-MIDI-preferences or installing midiyoke, if his computer is running windows.
but i guess there is no workaround. or is there?
cheers,
kostia.
