Add new slice to midi track option?

Hi,

is it possible to a add more options in the "Slice to midi track" menu.

I like to set 8 equals slices for jamming with my launchpad, but I wish a slice would play to the end as long as the key is not released.

Is there a way to script this kinf of feature?

yeah I reckon you'd save a simpler or sampler, with the release envelope all the way up, in your slicing defaults folder

i think i understand you (?)

i just tried something like this, as a first shot. it pretty much works. not sure if it's exactly what you want

-slice the sample to 8ths
-duplicate the new clip on the new MIDI track, 7 times.
-erase all but the first note on the first clip. erase all but the 2nd note on the 2nd clip. etc...
-set all clips to follow action: next: 0.0.2 (except clip 8 = follow action "first" 0.0.2)
-set all clips to quantize 1/8 or use global 1/8

now you can play the slices with your 8 midi notes, but the complete loop will always play normally whenever you stop triggering notes

if you don't want it to loop, i suppose you just omit the follow action on the last clip/slice

did you want it to stop playing when you release a key? didn't account for that..
