No, you don't need to need to install the other beta's first. Just run this one and you're good! :D But be careful because once you save something in this beta you can not go back and open it in any previous version before ( such as 8.1.1) Your in for the ride once you save in this one! I was having some issues with 8.1.1 in which automation would randomly show up when I dragged a clip from session to arrange. But since the b2 beta that has not been happening and I have not been having any problems at all. I have not actually used this b3 beta yet.

C'mon, guys, make the spacebar visible to MIDI control (so us guitarists can use Live like for backing tracks, to play/stop with a single MIDI footswitch.(e.g., Logidy UM13).

How difficult would it be to give us a button to emulate the spacebar? Or make the PlayStop an option (instead of play/reset..?)

anyone know if there's a particular reason this is the case? 8.1.1 is a p.o.s. for me, but can't commit to trying betas if sets are trapped...

That's just how it is bro. Just save the set separately for the beta. Try it out, see if the stuff that is messing up works better with the beta.

Looks like this version is working pretty good for me.
Worked the whole day with no crashes at all... :D Nice work ableton.

With the previous versions a got almost every 5 min a crash so i still worked with 8.1.

I,m not trying. I,m kinda stable with 8.1.1 and very busy. Isuues with 8.1.1 are that it hangs on startup pretty regularly requiring restart on computer. Win 7 64 ultimate. various unannounced carshes occur when working as well but a rare enough once a day to live with

best
