Hello,
I have been a long time Ableton registered user, but for technical reasons I stopped using it years ago before version 7 came out.
Now, I need to revisit some work I did in Live 6 and was wondering about this and I'm truly sorry if this information has already been posted but my searching effort didn't turn out a clear answer, so here I go :
If I upgrade to version 8 now, can version 6 and 8 coexist on the same machine while I update my old song to version 8 ?
Thanking you all in advance for your time and help.
JP
Returning to Ableton… but need help
Re: Returning to Ableton… but need help
yes, but there is no turning back once you convert to 8 (or any higher version) so re-naming your sets might behoove you...
Re: Returning to Ableton… but need help
Thank you for your quick reply,
Ok, i understand. But my material is all backed up, so no worries there.
So the two versions can coexist on my machine, that's what I wanted to know.
Thanks for everything.
Heading to the shop!
