good looking!
Home premium should be enough for most people, right?! I looked at the comparison list and I didn't even understand what most of the features are in the higher versions. Any reason I should be considering any of the higher levels?? (I just do regular shit on my computers, so servers or anything fancy.)

It seems this offer isn't available in the UK MS store. Nice.

Apparently because Europe has been questioning Microsoft's business practices they will be getting screwed.

Pro has the XP compatability option, and i have a few peices of hardware and software i want to make sure stays working. So that was a big deal for me. Another reason is that Pro supports up to 192gb of RAM, while premium only supports up to 16gb. Not that ill need more then 16gb of RAM anytime soon, its nice to know i wont have the limitation for whatever reason.

Those were the reasons i went with pro.

wifey and me preordered home versions. most of the additional features you get in the higher versions seem like additional software, rather than additional os functionality. what a fantastic price, though.
