This is nice!
Really like the beats and that synth pad works a treat.. what did you use for that?
The piano seems a bit random at times, and because it is the only 'conventional' sound it maybe draws my attention abit too much.. but thats the only minorest of criticisms, and thats only if minorest is an actual word

Thanks a lot guys for having taken the time to listen to my work and for your comments. It means a lot!

@tlennon : "Too long to develop into the groove". I tried to balance up the atmosphere with the groove and I felt that a very long introduction was necessary to imerge the listener into that mood. The groove develops almost by surprise. Nevertheless your comments are very valuable as they got me to think more about that question of timing and narration.

@ frequentare : "cool sounds - very deep and trippy - kinda long with a bpm that slow - but i like". I am very glad you like the sounds and you got the atmosphere. Bpm not that slow (123) but this 2-step kind of beats make it feel slower than it really is.

@danzel : The pad was made with Operator (long and 'unlinked' osc and pitch envelopes) being fed into delays, chorus, saturator, BP filter (all ableton plugins). I gave more life to the pad by using a rack with two chains, one dry and one with a very slow autopan feeding a saturator so harmonics come and go very slowly (this was mixed at a very low volume with the dry chain). Very interesting comments about the piano bits, thanks for that! I wanted to create a strong contrast between the pad and background atmosphere (all very synthetic and trippy)and something much more human and "real". The perceived randomness of the piano acting as a bridge between this two worlds.

digging the track man, very unique. I agree with motherbrain, nice processing, and I dig the use of Operator as well.

Like the textures and atmosphere - very airy. Great music to work to.
