free 8bit samples?

Post by Jekblad » Mon Dec 15, 2008 5:19 pm

does anyone have any links to some free 8bit samples?

I've been hunting around for a bit now... Also if there are any paid packs that are dope I'd been down with check'n on those too.

Thanks for any help. Long live chip tune.

nice one dude!

I got the first one but the other was windows only.

I think i'm going to do this as well as the puremagnetick pack for twelve bucks. I spend more on coffee during the week so i'm just going to get over my "gotta be free" mindset and invest in the business.

thanks again!

8bit samples == any sample you have on your system run through the right effects, if you ask me. Digital synths + bitcrushing work fine for this.

right on machinate.

thats kinda what i though as far as the bit crusher... So like a square wave simpler patch with redux would get there?

actually, I'd go for something *other* than the square wave through it - that'll give the redux some harmonics to play with, and will give you that lo-fi sound.

Another thing you could try is to reduce the volume *before* going into the Redux, that will mess with your headroom in cool ways some times.

Got operator?

Just wanted to give another thumbs up for PureMagnetik PunchPak - it's good stuff.

oh how i long for operator....

i wish bro.

I thought the square wave would GIVE it the harmonics over a sine. Will i EVER learn? *sigh*

machinate while i got you on the line can you take a look at this thread for me?

concerning the other thread: i guess my real question if i can't cleanly import new samples is: how to i macro map really fast? is there ANY way to do batch conversions or is it all right clicking away?
