M-Audio Project Mix I/o ??

Post by stealth1 » Wed Nov 19, 2008 9:28 pm

What's the general consensus of this studio controller?

I'm currently putting together a studio for a college. I've been comparing this with the Mackie Control Universal, but any other suggestions would be appreciated. Tascam perhaps?

The built in audio interface is a plus over the mackie..

I've had issues with M-Audio equipment in the past though - Trigger Finger just works when it feels like it, had 2 replacements but warranty has expired now..

cheers

The DIGI003 would better suit students:

I'd highly recommend the Mackie and a separate Interface.
The Mackie control will work with a lot of different setups.

And unless you need protools, I see no advantage of using their hardware at all.

Look into Echo or Presonus stuff for good quality at a fraction of the 002/003 boxes.
