Doepfer Drehbank. (now discontinued) 64 MIDI knobs available without bank-switching. nothing else like it. highly sought-after by those in the know. i have two of 'em... i rest my case!Johnisfaster wrote: you actually think a midi controller is gonna become a classic? there might be one out there but it certainly is gonna have to be the bee's f*ing knees to pull it off.

The wonderful Bricasti M7 reverb will certainly be a classic:

I wish I could afford a couple of M7s and also the M10 remote control.
M7 (only 1 reverb): 3000 Euro
M10: 2200 Euro
I think a good reverb has not only the ability to open up new dimensions, it can also have a big impact on a track's mood and character. Unfortunately, it's a very underrated effect these days...

I think the koeg electribe er-1 will be a classic in the future. It is a great little drum synth and they can still be picked up pretty cheaply. I will enver get rid of mine, I have too much fun using it

+1 for the Kaoss Pad 3 and the Micro Korg.
1st and 2nd gen Macbooks with FW
Mini Disc players .I still have one, a Sony with the little stereo mic, recorded tons of bootleg gigs straight in from the front of house desk.
Transferring can be a bit tedious, but that's what a kettle and cookies are good for.
I also use the mic to record rehearsals, scratch ideas etc.
It may not be the most used medium, but I think it'll be a classic.
