"How was Live 1 like?"

Well, I can only imagine that it was better than your grammar and sentence structure. *sigh*

The bigger question is, obviously, 'Is anyone still using Live V1'?

I've got my Live 1 manual sitting here to help me remember.

MIDI- just for triggering clips and automating rffects.
No ReWire
No instrument support.
Included effects were Erosion, Four EQ, Auto Filter, Vinyl Distortion, Chorus, Grain Delay and Filter Delay.

Even with all the limitations, playing with the pre-release public demo was some of the most fun I'd had musically in years.

1.0 didn't have reverb. I can't remember if that came in 1.5 or Live 2; I'm thinking it was Live 2.

It was 1.5. So big a deal that they put it on a sticker on the box -- which looks just like the v. 1 one, btw, I've got it right here:)

The sticker reads:

"Version 1.5 inside
> ReWire Master/Slav
> Hi-Q Reverb
> Mac OS X compatible
> Sync Master/Slav
> Render to disk
> Localized in German, French, and Japanese"

It's amazing how well the interface has taken on new features and remains so similar.

That's what I mean about the browser being so unpopulated. Now you have instruments sections, audio effects sections, midi effects sections, etc. etc. etc. with folders upon folders of content. It takes hours to explore the browser now. Back in the day it was like DOINK DOINK DOINK DOINK DOINK done.

Don't forget the presets weren't selected in the browser, but on the device itself...
