No lions. Every user can choose who he does business with. If somebody is not trustworthy, he is disclosed. The whole idea is to control where the money goes. The current system is much better for lions.

he? e-bay works now mainly over money, don't they?

besides, let's get real, talking is not changing anything... get into action... offer your tunes to labels of people you know (i mean label owners, because you said it has to be a circle of friends... unless i misunderstood!?) and offer your hard work (tunes) for giving you a '?' i don't know... what you want, a flat? you don't have to pay rent anymore for... or a filling of your fridge? or what? a car? clothing?

go do!

i am not even against it, not at all... i am only very much against hot air and talk.

nothing personal, you should know that! just starting to get involved into the discussion...

all power to you

something like this is the way forward IMO.
take the power away from banks and corporations, or at least begin to..

Indeed!! But words help to transfer and spread ideas... they are a good start, but yes need positive action not chin stroking to make them worthwhile.

Well, building up this kinda system could be an appropriate action. But it needs to be well conceived, I cant do that on my own. I´d rather spread the word and hope that in one way or another this might help to push things a bit into the right direction.

I´ll go on on some other forums to see what they think about it, and maybe some skilled developers could do this thing. Its all I can do at the moment.

Cool! Sounds like facebook for the freemasons, with large scale organised tax evasion thrown in. No risk of corruption there then.

My friends and I use our own currency for services and goods.

We call it "beer".

Once we use this system everyone is in good moods and high fives. You should look into it.

Ok guys I gotta spread the word and I formulated this:

Idea of a trading Society:

Isn´t it one of the most frustrating aspects of modern life that you don´t know who you work for?

I want to regain the conscience about who I am working for. It used to be like this when we lived in small villages, and now it´s possible again.

How it works:

1.A program is developed and offered as a free download in the internet. Every user can connect himself to all other users that he personally knows, and expand the circle through their business contacts (a bit like the open business club, but without a central platform). There is no central system, it works similar to emule.

2.On the frontend, you´ve got information about the people, who they are and what they offer, and, a bit like ebay, their remarks about the trades they made.

3.A deal is made by mutual agreement about the good/service and the price, like every usual business.

4.When a deal is made, one party gets the good/service and the other the virtual currency.

5.The virtual currency displays from what good or service it originated. On a dollar you could have the statement: Issued to Peter by Jane on behalf of lawn mowing.

Thats all you need!

As this dollar circulates in your business environment, the backend of the system will ensure that you get this very dollar back again. The backend closes the business circle. This is just a matter of book keeping. And the system will inform you exactly about the circle of transaction, that is, where your money is at the very moment.

The benefits:

You know who you work for

The money stays within your social system

The value you generate is documented

No money is generated without value

No inflation/deflation problems

No financial crisis

If the money displays its origin, there is no room for Tax evasion.

Seems easy doesn´t it?

unless it's on MARS you're gonna have inflation/deflation...

.... wait a minute... you think the 'money system' is the problem ?!
you want to go back to trading goods/services ?!
WHY ?!
and more importantly... how is it gonna change the way things are...?
you want to pay your electric bill with cabbages ?!

I don't wanna/need to know the company's boss unless I'm not paid...

like it or not the corporations and banks are not the reason to this system...
more like a bi product of it...
all that is needed is stricter rules for them...
because money=power=corruption==human nature...
this applies also to your social trading network...

I think the money system so far is the best idea...
I don't need someone to give me a crate of cabbages for doing a gig..
I don't need to have cabages rotting in my apartment just so i can trade them for something I need...like other food...
before they start to rot... and I'm really a sound engineer...
I don't need no stinkin' cabbages...

at least money isn't REAL....

btw money IS trade ...
you give TIME+ENERGY and get money for it...
which you can trade ANYWHERE for almost anything....
and I mean ANYTHING !
you don't need to barter... (although it's fun.)

I'm not a fan of the system... AT ALL ! in fact I hate it..
but currently fail to see a 'better' alternative to it...
too many damn people in the world for a 'simple' solution...

I'm all for closing down credit companies and making them illegal...
a person should live within his reach...
I personally handle only cash...
don't have a bank account or credit card...
and living just fine this way ...!
sorry to bust your bubble...
but the system needs to get better..not change..
being a 'system' means it isn't 'natural' for every individual
but...
I think every person has better potential today to find his niche...
at least financially...

the human condition is what we need to work on...
and change happens very slowly...

so ... if it weren't money it'd be gold... or water...or air ...
or some other stuff that'd be 'valuable' to your existence...

sitting here .
in my boxers.
after work .
in my fabulous studio .
typing these lines.
drinking a beer . smoking a joint .
going on a date later...life is ok.
btw I have a debt of almost 500,000$...(what you'd call a bankrupcy)...
ftw!!!!!
