Hi guys,
I've been using Live for DJing for years and am just trying to move to it for production too (I'm a Cubase guy, stretching back maybe 8 years). Anyhow - what I'm trying to do is record a loop (of pre-determined length) into a Session view slot and then have it auto-play as soon as it punches out.
Is this possible? I set up my quantization to 2 bars and then hit record on a slot, but it doesn't seem to auto-punch after 2 bars, nor does it seem to round the recorded clip length up/down to the nearest two bars.
Am I retarded? Am I using this wrong?
Any help much appreciated.

instantly double click the play/record button, or use looper ;P (the first one might be a problem if you use two hands to play the loop)

Ahhh K I think I have it now. Basically you have to be able to reach over and click the red 'play' button on the clip before the quantize time ends. Either that you or you just create the clip ahead of time with the correct length and then it auto-loops.
One small gripe - regardless of what time you have quantize set to, the clip that is created in a empty slot when you double click on it is always 1 bar in length. It would be great if this followed the quantize time.
