Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
My wish list:-
1. Ability to record live controller automation in to session view clips
2. Betting track comping ability ala Logic 8
3.Tape delay plugin - I'm talkin a self oscillating, modulating, wowing, fluttering, stinking of valves behemoth. I find the delays currently built into Ableton much to polite.
4. A way to easily move all your non factory library content to a new library or archive.
5. A decent Reverb, the current one sucks balls
6. For the sake of completeness, a guitar amp plugin - why not license basic one from Line 6, and integrate into Ableton.
7. Non sample based Piano plugin - Chat to the nice people at Modaart about licensing a basic version of Pianoteq and integrate in Ableton!
8. Ability to record live controller automation in to session view clips
That is all.

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?

i agree with the amp emulator plug but not with a line6 collaboration X_X i'm thinking more along the lines of amplitube or guitar rig. not a MUST though.
time stretching on sampler & simpler yes.
and finally a "reverse" option on delays.

My wishlist
1. An option to set the default new midi clip to a prespecified length.
2. An option that allows you rewind or fast forward in your current sessionview playback clips for easier punching in Session View.
3. SessionView automation (or atleast a better workaround to handle session view automation recording or mimik it)
4. Keybindable Auto Quantize with 32nd note settings and strength settings.
5. Rework the step editor. Live's current implementation is cumbersome
6. Focus on tighter midi timing with external gear.

A simple built-in sample-accurate editor (clip editor) with cut/copy/paste both inside the currently edited clip and possibility to paste fragments into other clips.

The ability to place instruments/effects at clip level would be fantastic personally.
That and less CPU-usage in general.
