@ Sweetjesus = NICE IDEA !!!

@ Forge = Good advice

@ the assholes... >>> www.youporn.com

@ ABLETON !!!!

= thanks for the email telling me that the trial will not work without an internet connection... what about telling me something i cant read on your website or in Live...

LIKE MY SERIAL NUMBER

I knew when I sent the first email to them that the forum was going to be better than their "customer support"

... its a shame really.

But thanks to the guys here on the forums !

YOU ROCK !
YOU ROCK !

Now I think i just have to wait and hope ableton bother to answer my emails about my serial number...

As far as i can remember... the serial was always visible in Abletons registration page. But no more?

Anyway...
I managed to get my files round a mates place and bounce them there.

Was lucky I got it done because DJ-Mehdi from edbanger and DJ-Craze are waiting on my tracks...

My first email :

I just got back to Australia and my laptop died on the plane-ride...

i got an ep to release asap - just gotta bounce the tracks in Ableton.

So i have an old desktop but no internet in my new place for a week or two...
(im at an internet cafe in town)

How do i get the 14day trial working without internet ?

How do I unlock Ableton on my (old) new computer ?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
B

Abletons response

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your email.

The Ableton Trail version will only run if your computer is connected to the internet. Do you have an older Live Full or Lite version?

If you need assistance or have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

All the best,
Niklas

My reply 2 MINUITES LATER !

Hello !

I can get my laptop to run just long enough to launch ableton but
there is no serial number showing !!!

How do i get my serial number ?

I logged into my account but it only had the trial serial number i requested.

I am pretty screwed by this. any help would be appreciated

Ben

Over 2 Days and still waiting ...

Thanks for the suggestion Sweetjesus,
but the DickSmith guys wont let me return a wireless modem.

oh well...

BTW

My laptop is truly dead now. no startup - just blackness.

I am just happy that i got my ableton files off it in time.

you weren't that clear what you are doing - you said you needed to use live to bounce something - I don;t know what, if it's already in Live, the fact you are trying to use a trial made me think you just need something to bounce existing audio in - I was going to say you could try Reaper - youd still need to d/l it from somewhere though but you can run it from a USB stick

Sorry,
I thought i was being very clear... "I just gotta bounce the tracks in Ableton"

I guess that one of the perils of trying to help people on the forums !
Nice lateral thinking Forge.

Cheers Mate.
