disable save changes dialog

Post by commonpike » Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:40 pm

Hi

Would there be a way to disable the "save changes" dialog ?
"Save changes to 'xxxx' before closing ?"
When switching projects on stage the dialog annoys me - I'm using applescript now to hit control-w control-d and open a specific project ..

I've been staring at the Preferences.cfg file, but the things is encoded in some sort of way. It might be in there.

thanks!

Yup, I know this feeling.

I have a real mantra of "CNTRL-W, CNTRL-D" when changing sets on the night.

I'd love to see an option to disable the Save Changes? prompt. Though if you accidentally left it on while writing a new song, I can imagine screaming bloody blue murder if I inadvetantly closed the song...

the only way i know of is to run an applescript to save. i set a midi controller to save the set, and then i can open another. clunky, but it works:

on runme(message)
if (item 1 of message = 194) then -- program event on ch3
if (item 2 of message = 99) then -- value 100
tell application "System Events"
key down command
keystroke "s"
key up command
end tell
end if
end runme
