Wall-e sports Mac OS XXVII
Whenever Wall-e charges his batteries up he makes the mac start up sound. Got a kick out of it every time. I blame Steve Jobs b/c there was a first gen ipod in the film too. Really bad ass movie - a little slow but great eye candy and it really hit a chord with my nerdy side. The sound design was second to none. Really sweet vocoding and synthesis to make the robot voices.
agreed. awesome film. i took my daughter (5 years old) and that was the first things she said when he boots up "Daddy thats the sound your computer makes!" i think i probably enjoyed the movie more than she did. only thing that sucks is how expensive its getting to go the movies now. even the matinee is like a 20$ for 2 people.
Macbook 2ghz c2d, 2gb ram, osx 10.5.5, live 8.0.8, fw-1884, ms20, x-session, 2xLP
Genius piece of filmmaking. From start to finish it was incredible. And the best part? No furry, fuzzy animals.
Not that I don't like furry, fuzzy animals (I mean, Kung Fu Panda rocked). But Thank God we get a break for a change.
Nah, the best part was that it was a crackin' bit of sciFi wrapped up as a kids Disney/Pixar animated film; with CGI that is just off-the-chart good.
