I didn't touch both since year. I was using kontakt and now I use sampler directly.
I think you must go with kontakt, it's a bit more beefed up afaik

i sold kontakt because it didn't save midi mappings when i saved live projects.

yes.
always hat to trigger to omni and back for each instrument after loading a project in order to hear any sound out of that crapshit... workflowkiller
i know a pc user who sold his copy because of the same reason

Kontakt 3 crashes live like clockwork here. Typically unfinished NI software.
