Reason as external Audio Effect

in the manual I read that for Live 7 I can route Reason as External Audio effect. but how? I am using Reason 4 but can't choose it as input for the External Audio only as input on a mixer-channel.

hmm. that seems odd

for me, reason appears as an input option for the Ext In device.

only have reason 3 though..

it's awesome - saving reason devices as presets in the live browser (as long as the reason file is open, of course..)

definitely should work as instrument
