So what's the intial verdict on the MPD32 ?
well I have to say i was not happy with it at first but after tweaking the settings, it feels just right for me.
I set a couple of things in the global settings and got it to where it feels just right for me.
here they are if you are interested
Pad sensitivity I set to 4
pad curve I set to 5
pad threshold i set to 3
before I did this I would have to bang the crap out of the pads to work with the full level off.
I hope this help others.
The pads feel 100 times better now that I made the adjustments. It should feel that way out the box. which is why I think people have mixed feelings about the mpd 32 or other midi controllers for that matter.

I just got mine on Monday.
Having some issues getting Live to slave to the MPD's clock but it's very likely that is a stupid user error. If you could check my thread and help me out I would appreciate it.

As for the size. It's about the same as the MPC 2000. I am at work but I would guess it's like 10" x 16" or something close.

I've had mine since they were avalible.I love it. It reminds me of an sp1200 w/ all the faders. The best surprize was that the buttons that are used for note repeat division are mapable too when not using note repeat. and u can set them to stay on while u hold the button down and turn off as soon as u let go...perfect for aux sends while djing!!! I am habving small issues with the software though its chrashed a couple times is os x and I can't seem to get my preset to stick so I have to send it to the mpd every time I turn it on again. I even tried overwriteing the whole preset bank but it dont take:(
