Saffire LE and Intelmac Noise
Saffire LE and Intelmac Noise
Hi
I am currently using a Saffire LE i/O with an intel mac which is fine but.....
Whilst not using Ableton but, say, browsing the internet, there is a constant noise, i assume this is the firewire bus powering. But anyway it actually makes noise when u use the jog wheel on a mouse! Is this normal or is there anything I can do to remedy this.

Do you have the same problem??? What about changing the power output do you say???garyboozy wrote:you have to use the power supply with the saffire le. it wont work properly on bus power alone. look it up on the focusrite website - something about apple changing the power output of the firewire interface on the macbook pros, so the saffire cant get enough power.
