Just to show how Lemur may reflect a Live set.
And this is only one of any controlling surfaces you could make up for Live ...

yeah seriously. can't believe live 7 wont have osc! its killing me. watch me not buy it.
+1 osc please. though its bound to happen once the cycling/abelton partnership bears a little fruit.

just a dumb question?
is there any, like ANY, possibility to send osc to a vst plugin within live?
with max?
or is it strictly impossible?
btw queglay I was talking to the µtonic chieff and he was impressed by the lemur and by your video upload on youtube... I've played your sequencer with the µtonic... he thought about OSC too... yeah! OSC 4ever!
cheers

OSC communcation is possible for plugins built in the Pluggo environment of MaxMSP, and any plugins made from scratch (C++)warabunga wrote:within the host??axou wrote:Plugins built in Max or in any other programming languages can be made to receive and send OSC data.warabunga wrote:is there any, like ANY, possibility to send osc to a vst plugin within live?

OSC support is not a limitation of the host per se, it's up to the plugin designer to include it or not. It's a shame NI decided to disable it for Reaktor.
yes they are pretty dumb for doing that, although i created a workaround for this. i get max/msp to take midi sync from ableton, send a clock through osc to reaktor standalone. i then route reaktor outputs from my soundcard into abletons input. the same can be done with abletons outputs if you want to use reaktors effects.
