Yep, good eye. Looks like I'm not the only one who watches the Wire... Cool

Statement was definitely inspired by season 2, Frank Sobotka and the other guys down on the terminal.

I'm Baltimore born and raised man, I have to watch the Wire!

Season 5 starts in January, you down? Apparently McNulty is back on the sauce.
sorry for the thread jack but...

before I became a tarnce superstar I did social work on the mean streets of Chicago and IMHO "the Wire" is the finest depiction of street life ever painted on screen. Unbelievably rich characters on both the cops and robbers side. "Omar" has to be one of the best characters on TV ever. "Come at the king you best not miss".

I haven't seen season 4 yet but I just got done with 3 - its unbelievable.

Well I'm not sorry to say it amazes me how The Wire has never been nominated for an Emmy...at least not to my knowledge. I find so frickin' amazing because it truly is an ultra realistic depiction of street life in Baltimore with superb acting and a storyline which isn't nearly as ho-hum or BULLSHIT as The Sopranos has been in its last few years...

Yet even after that bullshit ending, Sopranos won show of the year. Wow. I think I understand the politics behind that one.

They just extended the beta circle by 1000 if that's anything to go by. Must be close now.

They'll send out one of their mass "next beta available" emails but this time when you go to download it will ask for your credit card number. Crafty, those Abes are.
