Hello there,
Please I am just discovering Live6, and testing it. Using the IEC midi instruments, my CPU is easily overloaded. 4 midi clips running some using midi effects like arpeggiator, will make my CPU go up to 70% and sometimes overload.
Is it my machine or do I something wrong?
my buffer is set to 512 samples.
thank you for answering...

macbook 2,4ghz, intelcoreduo, 2GB ram. Sampler, axiom25, Sibelius3, DP4.
EIC uses lots of RAM, not to mention OSX and Live in general. Increasing the buffer size will make a modest difference, but ultimately, more RAM or a faster machine is the answer.
Sorry -- I usually hate suggesting "buy more shit" as the solution to someone's difficulties, but it might be worth considering. =/
