My Faderfox LV1/LD2/Echo Audiofire2, all housed in a custom enclosure is a better solution for me (cost me £450/600euro).

I think it looks sweet.

However it hardly jumps to the top of my list of things to buy.

Neither the Evo5 or the Zero8 give you that coveted analog summing bus, though.

The mixer controls impress me less if they're not analog.

Seems like the best way to use an analog mixer on yr tracks still requires an external sound card.

Pictures on the way soon (it's a bit rough looking as I haven't painted the sides yet). It's basically the footprint/size of two faderfoxes joined together and about an inch higher up. The audio interface sits underneath the faderfoxes.

I love it.

I have the first EVO5 mixer in (in North America) my hands at the moment

So far, its VERY cool! The build quality is fantastic, and the screen is actually very nice! I'm more of a Traktor user, and so far, it works flawlessly with Traktor 3. No audio or MIDI latency. Whats also interesting for Ableton is that you can assign the sound to 12 (6 stereo) inputs on the mixer, so you dont need to "waste" an actual channel just for audio. There is Channel 1/2/3/4, MIX and PFL inputs. For outputs, its Channels 1/2/3/4, MIX and Input 0. So you can actually plug in a standard turntable, assign its ouputs to Ableton (or any other program) and use your PC as an FX processor....pretty neat!

The manual is online now, in case any wants to read up...
