hello,
waveidea the developers of the bitstream 3x have opend the bitstream 3x for all users.
they provide the spec. sheet of the expansion port.
and they will support anyone with the development of expansions !!!
soo i hope some of the pros here can help all the bitstream users to develop their expansions !!

Bitstream user here, but with no adequate tech. knowledge. I've got the protocol and try to find some information to get something started. I'm thinking about a Joystick (which feels better than the bitstrem's one) and something monome like. Don't know if it's possible to get visual feedback on the buttons.............will have a look.
What would you create with the open control protocol?

cool... i2C is the same protocol the Wiimote uses for it's expansion port... since it's a digital protocol you'll have to get into microcontroller programming if you want to mess with it. I recommend the Arduino: http://arduino.cc
There's almost no overhead to get started programming with that board, and there's a fairly active forum with friendly people to help out.

hello i`ve also to low tech. knowlege .. so i hope to find some people which maybe develop something like ucapps.de
a standard platine & program so users can connect their own faders, joystics, enconders ..
i need buttons, buttons, buttons, infrared control ect.
@ bigbadotis
thx i`ll check this but i think my tec. knowlege is to low for that
