Syncing VSTs

Post by Chris Paget » Thu May 10, 2007 3:18 pm

I'm looking to buy a program to load and rhythmically sync several VST plug-ins at once (just using Massive right now, but want to work in the ability to sync rhythms, possibly from Battery). I know some programs (such as brainspawn forte) work as a virtual "rack" and just sync instruments. Would this be one of Ableton Live's strong points?

yes.

Yes in the way that the Terminator could beat up Urkel were the two franchises to merge.

Yes in the way Dr Emmet Brown decides to use a Delorean when he needs a car that can accelerate up to (but no more than) 88mph.

Yes in the way that Prince could write a good jingle for a Mattress Warehouse advertisement.

Yes in the way a new Macbook can keep a stack of papers from blowing away in the wind.

So, if I had a couple instruments loaded, could I sample and hold some played notes in one, then switch to another plug-in and add another layer? If this is the case, i promise i'll stop posting stupid questions and read the manual, and probably dream about Live tonight :)

Try out Major Malfunction (Mac only): http://www.defectiverecords.com -it's Almost free, only $10 USD.

It's designed for Ableton Live, but I don't know if this is what ur looking for, but I think u'll like it ;)

Cheers;
