simple...
it's backlash against the kinds people who push this kind of agenda:
(meat eaters are stupid)
(meat eaters are the moral equal of slave owners)
(I decided there was no clever way I could respond to the second part without sounding like a misogynist or a homophobe)
they have a right to their opinion - while their intolerance and narrowmindednes deserves to be criticized just like any other bigot on a mission
r
bigot (noun)
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
Using these logical fallacies to tar all vegetarians with the same brush is crazy.
Lets try these equivalent statements:
- Some gay men go to nightclubs, anyone going to a nightclub is a gay man
- Some brown people destroyed the twin towers, therefore all brown people are bad
- Some priests had sex with boys, all priests are child molesters
- Some vegetarians made some stupid t-shirts, therefore all vegetarians are stupid
see ... it makes no sense. You may be annoyed by these T-shirts, but they are produced by people who could easily be annoying you about Marxism, the sanctity of marriage, abortion, etc. The people who make and wear these t-shirts make them because they are annoying bastards , not because they are vegetarians
Drawing illogical and conclusions about vegetarians from the behaviour of a few is frankly bizare.
Remember, as a lesbian flatmate used to remind me daily: "all men are rapists! "
