Using Wacom Graphire with Live question

Post by enorbulator » Thu Apr 12, 2007 11:18 am

I anyone here using a Wacom tablet with Live? More specifically, with Mac OSX 10.4.8 on a MacBook Pro and 10.3.9 on a G4. I'm having a problem adjusting knobs and sliders accurately. They just zoom up or down all the way instead of incrementing smoothly. It's not an issue with Reason or Logic Express.
Thanks for any solutions, suggestions or observations.

Yep

I have had the same. I used the mighty mouse instead but I decided to buy a controler keyboard.
Wacom works fine in graphic programs as it is made for.

Hmmm, so it's a Live issue then? Maybe I can find out what Ableton have to say.
Thanks

yes it's a live issue. Live doesn't properly support wacoms at this time :(

but can you draw and alter midi notes and its velocity and such with a wacom pen?? and what about cpu performance? all you folks are talking about is the stuff which dont work like altering faders and knobs. but what about the cool stuff??

drawing midi notes: yes
drawing velocity: nope

sad but true :(

as for cpu performance, it doesn't do anything different from a mouse really so I doubt you'll notice it (once it actually works) ;)

Photoshop, maybe?
Serato vs. TFS: who cares?
Mac vs. PCs: who cares?
