Sticking notes in softsynths (ImpOSCAR)

Post by marky » Sat Mar 10, 2007 8:37 pm

Ahoy there

I'm having a problem with ImpOSCAR which is pissing me off so much that I have a track I can't even bring myself to finish.

Basically loads of the patches have sticking notes, i.e. when I stop playing a track with Imposcar on it, the last note sticks. It happens all the time, just qwith this one fucking synth.

I do like the synth though, so I'm wondering if any of you have a way of dealing with these stuck notes (apart from mixing the track down to audio and working from there)..

Thanks chaps

It's an issue due to Note On and Note Off.
Automate the synth to 'switch off' when you stop playing the track, otherwise assign a key or knob to the synth on/off button, and press it as soon as you're done.

I'm assuming keyboard hold (KBD HOLD) is disabled on your imposcar?
..?

Thanks for that .. are you referring to muting the track when it's done? I have been doing this but it does seem like a bit of a hack, though perhaps this is the only workable approach :(

Yeah, this happens for me too. And only with Imposcar.

I tend to use Freeze as soon as I can with this synth. Then I don't have the problem of stuck notes.

Cool, thanks for the input Synthbuilder .. it is a pain in the arse, and it does seem to be an imposcar things too :(

Reckon i'll be freezing the tracks sooner rather than later... and maybe using imposcar a bit less too !

Hi,

I had this very problem for a long time. Only Imposcar as well. It was present in Live 4.0 through 6.01. Recenly I noticed the problem has gone away. The reason must be 6.03. I have not used 6.05 though . So upgrade if you have not already.

I had the same problem with v-station yesterday. I simply deleted the midi track that v-station was on, then undid the action. 2 second workaround, at most.
