This video is pretty cool. It's comprised of fictitious survailance tapes- a reference to big brother and the future of the American police state.

only american? don´t think that methods of control, "government" and especially execution differ so much on the planet... it´s just a human plague, not a national.

but somehow... it is flat and usual as their new music. a shame.

For anyone who doesn't like this new stuff, I can't argue with taste. But to say it's rubbish is just, well, rubbish.

This stuff is pretty damn good, the sounds are far more interesting than on the last album, dirty, glitchy, raw. I'm not saying it's brilliant or anything, but I never did think NIN was brilliant. I just like the sound.

There is a middle ground between absolutely brilliant and utter shit. Things can be good without being revolutionary. Just seems like people forget that sometimes, especially on these internet discussions.

It's the lyrics that are killing this for me! The music is fine, catchy enough, dirty enough, but his lyrics sound like 8th grade poetry. It's too embarrassing to listen to. I find myself making that face you make when eating something too sour, and turning it off. For the record, I still rock my Broken tee that I've been wearing for almost 15 years!! It's kinda gross.
Don't get me started on the last album! I think I tossed it out a window while driving.

I think the new album is definitely better than With Teeth. While Trent's lyric choice is one thing to debate- I am glad to see him finally stepping up the protest poetry. The last half of the album is very interesting. It goes into a new place. Very cool Trent! You have my approval. Not bad.
