WACOM PEN Support??
WACOM PEN Support??
Has anyone used a Wacom Pen in Live yet? When attempting to select and turn dials; zooming in and out; etc there is very little control. Very dissapointing. Had to go back to a mouse.
Yeah...
Live isn't very tablet pc/wacom tablet friendly right now... but if it was then it'd have to give up mouse movements... it'd be nice if there was a way to have it switch between input modes though.
try this if you want more controlAnonymous wrote:Yes, I have tried to use Live with a Wacom tablet. The dials are practically uncontrollable. A shame, really, since Wacom pen is a wonderfully natural way of controlling audio programs (works like a charm with Reason, for example). I'd really like to see it fixed for 4.

Uhm...
That touchscreen doesn't solve the 'problem' that is being referred to...
The issue is that the cursor goes into a 'high precision' mode when you select certain elements on the interface which is not compatible with any kind of touch, pen or other physical input...

Re: WACOM PEN Support??
yes +1 please fix. Using Live 8.0.2, OSX 10.6.4 and a Wacom tablet. Ableton Live is the only app that does not support the wacom tablet correctly. Faders, knobs, etc. seem to jump to max/min value and are almost impossible to set. Zoom is very hard to control and also wants to jump to max/min. And, I loose functionality over my MBP mouse in all other apps and the OS when I use the wacom tablet with Ableton Live.

- create a text file into the Ableton preferences folder named Options.txt
path: user/library/preferences/ableton/live 8.x/Options.txt
make sure that text file is saved as plain text, so no formating such as .rtf!
- in that text file enter this line: -AbsoluteMouseMode
fixed..!
