Dont worry a lot of the free PC synths are all the same thing made in synthedit. OSX needs a easy AU maker like reaktor or outism or synthedit to export .component or even .vst for a mac. I'll throw that on the list of Apps to make that could make me money.jasinski wrote:man, we need more ports to OS X.. there are a TON of PC synths.
But then again there are no barriers between hardware anymore. Ive also heard about some people using WINE in OSX but I dont have personal expirience in that yet. Since OSX is a lot like BSDlinux I wonder if we could port FST to OSX...
You could always get VMWare Fusion (VMWARE FOR MAC, Forget parallels, ha) and run a windows machine inside OSX. It would run a little slow but you could hear those synths you are wishing you had access to. It would make you realize most of the freeware isnt that super great. (Excluding DBlue, Jackdark, and the Smartelectronix gang)
Or you could do the hottest new thing on the market and use "Bootcamp" for all your multibooting needs!
