Who is still on Live 5?
I have Live 5.22 at the moment but it crashes on me far too often.
I don't really feel I need live 6 yet and besides, from what I read there are still issues with that.
If you're on Live 5, what release are you using? I don't think I had anywhere near as many crashes with earlier versions.

I didn't realise there was a 5.2.2. Maybe I'll try it...difference wrote:Interesting. Maybe I should go back to 5.2 instead of 5.22.robbmasters wrote:5.2 here. No crashes though...
Are you saying Live never crashes on you?
But I can't remember the last time Live crashed. Although I haven't been using it all that much recently. But I'm starting to again now (on my laptop, anyway). I can upset it if I do something silly - like unplug all my USB MIDI devices (plus my network, power and USB trackball) while Live is running. But it still doesn't crash; it just gets very slow to respond...
OS X, Live 9, Microbook II

There will still be issues with live 7, 8 ,....difference wrote:from what I read there are still issues with that.
Software is never finished.

I disagree. I think you have just come to accept that from companies like Ableton and Steinberg.hoffman2k wrote:There will still be issues with live 7, 8 ,....difference wrote:from what I read there are still issues with that.

Reason - now there's a finished product. No bugs. Reason 3 needed a couple of very minor updates but 2.5 never needed any bug fixes at all.

The thing is, you're not speaking from experience.difference wrote:I disagree. I think you have just come to accept that from companies like Ableton and Steinberg.hoffman2k wrote:There will still be issues with live 7, 8 ,....difference wrote:from what I read there are still issues with that.

You read there are still issues... I read about issues in reason too.
Live is stable for a lot of people. For some it isn't. Just like reason..
Starting to see the pattern?
Ableton is totally unlike any other company i've dealt with.
They're always fixing and improving things. And still take the time to explain features, limitations and solutions.
I guess your experience would be different.
