Bassline 2 Released!

If you're looking for the authentic 303 sound. Look no further.
While still not perfect, this is the closest emulation you will find.
Other emulators are just trying to copy this crazy swedish plugin.

Granted, it doesn't look like much with that 3d skin.
But you can make it look like anything you want.
Like this for example

Go to www.audiorealism.se to try out the demo.

Some comparisons of the new improved model with a real 303 will be posted on their site shortly.

Cheers

How does this compare to ReBirth in terms of sound? (I know it sucks in the usability department)

Rebirth or ABL?

ABL has a lot of configurable options under the hood that match the reality that every 303 does not sound alike.
So when it comes to sound, there's even no comparison.
ABL kicks major ass.
Sounds loads better then D16's emulator (IMO). (which sounds good for goa. Not acid)
It just doesn't look as nice and isn't as cheap. (for some people, that "sounds" better)
I'm biased though. I've been using this thing since v1 and have been part of testing all the new improvements it received.

Just look at it this way: The company's name is AudioRealism.
That pretty much sums up the ultimate goal for any product they make...

On a related note...
ABL Pro is now known as ASM.

Next update of ASM will be free for all ABL Pro users and incorporate these changes.

i meant the third party one you showed. not the 3D one. that looks a bit... shite. good synth though. the pattern detector looks cool. instant luke vibert covers.

ReBirth, of course!
This ABL thing rocks - the 'Everybody Needs a 303' pattern is dead accurate 8O

Hofmann, I know you are the fan or part of the company but it is not right to make yourself taller by cutting heads of others. You bashing of d16 and praising ABL like if it was the blessing to humanity damages your credibility.
I tried ABL because of your enthusiastic advice, however didnt find it all that great, better then Rebirth, but anything is better then Rebirth. ABL is OK but not good enough for me to use it.
I find d16 much better, and definitely usable, I love all music except goa and trance which are pain for my ears and brain. So your comment soundabsurd to me.
My name is not Acid but Rob Acid knows definitely something about acid here his comment:

"i have my real TB303 now for 16 years.....

your TB is the first PLUGIN i will feature all over the world now !!
last weekend i played with the plugin infront of 1000 people and they gone crazy with this fucking great sound !!!! "

You are very enthusiastic about particular product but that should not make you bash other, which for many artists might be more suitable.

I've popped out the Visa card and got to the download sector. What a bummer, cannot buy the item because i have a non-fee email adress (hotmail). This is the first time this happened to me. I'me not gonna send cash or use a bank transfer, the reason I have a Visa is for shopping on the internet. Well no Acid for me this weekend, will use the Lunch Box ens. from Reaktor.

Yes I may have been too enthousiastic about this release. But i would hardly call that small phrase a bashing. The comment about the GUI that doesn't look as nice was aimed at ABL.
And as far as the "acid" comment goes. It's all subjective.
I can also quote you similar comments from artists that use ABL.

Like I've said in another thread. It's 2 flavors of the same thing. Like cola and pepsi...
You can choose which one you like.
I just got carried away with delivering the news.
Try out the demo though. The things you didn't like about the previous version might have been improved.

cheers
