Recording Automation using Korg Legacy MS-20 Controller

Post by aleeann » Mon Jan 08, 2007 8:55 pm

I’m currently using Live 6.0.3 with Windows XP and I’m having no luck recording automation in the Session view. I want to be able to use the MS-20 USB controller I have controlling the Korg Legacy MS-20 VSTi.

For example, I can easily use the MS-20 controller to make real time VCO1 changes, but when I try to record the automation it does not register in the session view. I can, however, use another controller to MIDI map certain parameters in the VSTi and record the automation.

Has anyone else experienced this with the MS-20 controller or something similar with a different set-up? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

you have to record your automation to Arrange view and export the clip to session view...i know it sucks...

I'm a dullard...

Meant to say that I can't record automation in the Arrange view.

Any thoughts?
