I was considering buying ableton for DJ'ing with, but im not sure how complicated it is. i have no history working with any kind of music software.Would i find this very difficuly?
It's probably one of the easyest music apps to use, download the demo and give it a try! 
Might be best looking for the old version 5 demo because it has a tutorial on djing(live 6 hasnt the tutorial, for some very strange reason Ableton left it out).
The doc's are pretty easy to follow.
Another app you might like to try is Traktor by native instruments. It's ok but the beat matching doesnt even come close to Ableton and also has only one effect a low/high pass filter)
