A good "non-free" reverb vst ?

hi guys,

I've tried both ableton's reverb and many free reverb VSTS, and while there's nothing essentially wrong with any of them; all have virtues and merits of their own, I'm missing the reverb sound I need... specifically I have a hardware alesis midiverb, and the reverbs on that are sweet... Is there a VST that I have to pay for that can get me sterling results?

And before you say, just use the alesis midiverb, well 1) its in a different country at the moment, and 2) VST is just soooo much more practical

Wizooverb W2 - very good IR and synthetic reverb, relatively cheap ($99) at the moment... major caveat though, there seems to be some question whether development will continue now that the Wizoo devs have moved on to bigger and better things.

IK Multimedia CSR - beautiful synthetic reverb, modelled after hardware.

Arts Acoustic Reverb - you just missed a 30% off sale, ended yesterday. Not my fave but a lot of people love it for smooth synthetic reverb.

Of course the 2 mentioned by Tarekith are acknowledged as being among, if not the best for software reverbs.

i was in the same boat. Im very pleased with Wizooverb W2 at the momnt
i only use it in my audioeditor though because it takes too much cpu in Live

Another nice algorithmic Reverb is WaveArts MasterVerb 5.

Although I usually use external effects for reverb, I like Pristine Space. You can get this for cheap right now from Voxengo (less than $100).
The other one I use (that I chose over all the others in the same price range)--Spin Audio's RoomVerb M2. That is on sale now for $119.
If you want to go higher in price, I'd go for Altiverb.

Reverence by Audio Damage is a great plate reverb.

Admittedly, the PLate 140 in UAD is the king of plate reverbs but Reverence is also excellent for a modest outlay too.

I don't like Waves products, but I have heard their convolution reverb and think it's pretty nice. Not as nice as Altiverb but close.

Warmverb by tone2. Best bang for the buck, plus its a whole effects workstation, with, among other effects (24 in total I believe), 3 different types of reverb, which sound very decent, not muddying the sound, but rather clean and "crisp".
