Is there a vst or synth that eimulates the tb303?

Now, that is something I would stump up cash for.
It almost sounds spot on. The cymbals are a touch different in the audio demos. But still the best EMULATION i've ever heard.
And it still has to be beta'd. So it'll be tested and improved first.
I have a 606 but given my syncing options (my jomox which doesn't work well for that) I'd rather be working in software.
It's funny...
I hardly ever get passed the vst's that start with an "A".
Automat, ABL, ABL Pro and Abletons plugins

You can either have hundreds of plugins that you barely know.
Or get by with just the few that you know inside and out.
Ableton, Alphakanal and Audiorealism Rock!
Sensible approach. I'm the same with hardware too.

No sequencer inh the analogue solutions box though ... might have been better getting someone to build you an x0x b0x...

I got it half off. And I plan I using the CovertOps sequencer - I already use it for ABL.

ABL 2 sounds like the business - if it's analyzing patterns or real audio that's even cooler

not to beat a really dead horse but you may want to suggest to your people at abl the ability to analyz and copy patterns from other pattern based files like Recycle files

that's be cool

but I'm feeling that new filter - not a bad upgrade price either

count me down for 1

peace

I see..

Will the abl2 have a highpas filter?
Yes it will :)

Sweet, that makes it much more usable to me!

If the accent and slide buttons are midi assignable, then Ableton or any other sequencer hard or soft should eliminate the need for a sequencer in the A.S. 303 clone.

Hehe. Funny line there:
Uses the original 303 voice circuit, and analogue components (where possible - many are discontinued). We tried to get the sound original, and in our opinion it sounds just like a 303 - but of course there will always be to very few who disagree!
One of the most important things to 303 emulation (imo) is the sequencer noise.
The added lfo and squelch button are funny concepts too though.

Personally i wouldn't buy it. Because it's not a 303 emulation. It's just something that is based on the 303 circuit. And half of it is missing.
The xoxbox is also not recommended according to these nutters http://www.ladyada.net/forums/viewtopic ... 4caf9d88b2

Yeah bro - it ain't exactly like a 303, but for half off, it should produce some interesting sounds. I use ABL alot, and a lot of the time without using the internal sequencer, so I'm not always looking for super accuracy. And I agree with what AS said - some will say that it doesn't sound the same, but people say that about ABL, the x0xb0x, the phosycon, whatever.

I wasn't even planning on getting a 303 because of able. But I think that it should go with my evolver nicely, and your CovertSeq.

So, how did it work out Steve?
Does it sound good?
Mind posting a small sample?

Cheers

Um, I don't know why that happened with my last post, and I'm in a rush so I can't re-write the whole thing but the gist:

Studying for California Bar examination (licensing examination to practice law), so have little time.

Quick impressions: sounds great, but I use ABL2 much more often.

What kind of sound examples did you have in mind? I cannot host, so may I send you the files?

Peace,

S/O

Good luck, we need more crazy lawyers around here

Anyway, the sound example was just out of a vague interest.
And it would be the only sound reference of the device, online (that i know off).
Some midi clips with a slide here or there and perhaps tweak the knobs from normal bassline to the distorted squelch.

But no rush. I wouldn't want to take up any of your study time.
I'll remind you later ;)

Cheers
