Post by baltazar » Thu Nov 16, 2006 9:22 am

i woul like to render clip direct in session view with right clicking on the clip and choose render clip ( or something like that).

What do you think about it ?

that could be useful..
but what takes about the same time is that you freeze the clip and then use the (frozen) audio file that is created in the projectfolder..

I think this is not the same mainly if you use some randomation and reaktor sequenced synths.

well.. I think this is exactly the same, but correct me if I'am wrong;

about the random part;
lets say you have a 1 bar loop,
and some parameters are constantly randomized,
so that if it loops for the second time , third time, and so on, it will sound different again and again and again..
this is what you mean right?

two options..
1.
if you render this one bar and let's say it has random factor N,
this will be the same as freezing the one bar that also will have random factor N..

2.
randomisation will always be totally different each time you render or freeze..
so in this case it doesn't matter either if you render or freeze..

does this make sense? :?

Yes, Im for rendering clips on rigt click in both session and arrange mode! I use Live for various things: even as audio editor, sometimes I chop samples from whole tracks to my HW sampler to play live songs previously made only in studio etc. This small feature would help a lot!!!
