Labeling it "EDIT" would make it at least 10x more helpful

I'll just point out .. because I am in a bad mood today
it's actually 3 clicks now(open context menu, select, edit), not two or one. Factoring in the mouse movement too - there is a lot more mousing required.

when all you really need is a little button that says EDIT on it - just like the one we had last year in Live 5.

It really isnt just about adding a few clicks, the amount of time it takes to find and hit the edit button isnt a large amount.
It is just sheer added frustration, anger, and polava.
I think every time i go to hit the EDIT button "WHY???!!!"
and it really really annoys me.

lol, why would anyone vote "no" on this one? it's a feature you don't necessarily HAVE to use... it would just be there and you could ignore it. hahaha

I love not having the Edit button. Now I have a place to leave my pointer where I won't run the risk of clicking something.

This is quite annoying indeed - WTF?
I agree with this question:

THE EDIT BUTTON HAS GONE.
oh sod it, i cannot be bothered to go clicking through menus just to acheive it.

i love how live 6 is basically a performance upgrade to live 5, with a few 'new' features here and there. so much of what could have been added has been left out or ignored (automated time signature changes, manual entry of envelope points, group tracks/track folders, the option to separate the recording of audio and envelopes, removing the edit button, etc.). i was really hoping that live 6 would be the fully-functional daw everyone was hoping for, but who knows, maybe live 7 will get it right. buuuuuuuuut it's pretty lame to have to wait for another year to find out.

well if they're going to even have the feature, why have it half-assed?
