And I´m sure not every owner is registered :)
My old signature was pretty stupid, so I changed it to this one.

from the ableton site:

"There are now several hundred thousand Live users worldwide, and the number is growing fast."

Link to Ableton about page

i'm guessing that includes all the free/light/other non-full versions of Live in circulation.

also, i came across this once. it's a translation of a company profile from what I'm guessing is an entrepreneurial organization. I'm not sure when it's from:

"20,000 full licenses and over 60.000 OEM licenses are already sold, although pirat copies prepare also Ableton of problems. “We estimate the illegal use of our software with the factor six of the sold licenses. That is a not insignificant risk for us like also generally software business”, says finance executive committee (Jan) Bohl."

he he...I guess the auto translate works on names too:
Also with the German founder price 2004 their enterprise belonged to the three most successful Aufsteigern: the Ableton founders Bernd rye village, Gerhard Behles and January Bohl
I guess roggendorf means "rye village" - kind of odd in English! :D
