an expensive mono-point touchscreen with a 4096*4096 resolution to control Live's faders which are 100pix high ?

A touchscreen is an enhancement added either internally or externally to a computer display. This enhancement interprets the touch on the screen to be the equivalent of a click or a drag by your computer’s mouse. A touchscreen can only interpret one event at a time. If you attempt to touch the screen in two or more places at once, you will not hurt your touchscreen, but the cursor location will be different then you expect.
The product is hardly new, they've been selling those for ages as I understand it. The only "new" factor is that it's compatible with the 24" iMac.
