Live 5.2.1 Bug fix update is online!

Sounds like the bug I have been fighting for the past few months. I can get a crash 99% of the time when loading a set with various vsts. Has something to do with the way VSTs are being loaded etc.

No word yet on a fix.

I'm on a mac too but haven't loaded the update.

Are you guys ALL using the macbook and/or intel macs or is this happening across the mac platform (affecting G4's and G5's)?

I am on a G4 Powerbook. I could recreate it across several versions of OSX 10.4.

Can you describe how to reproduce it for me.

I've not had this problem using 10.3.9.

I never migrated to Tiger, not terribly impressed and everything is running well.

All of which makes me wonder if it's actually an internal Live? If PC users aren't seeing it, maybe 10.4 is the problem?

Now you've got the clip mapped to a range of midi notes and it will transpose along with the note you play when you trigger it. If you add in a scale plugin it will automatically transpose within the scale you select.

I would also say it's useful in some cases to map the 'magic' play button that appears in each track in midi-map mode. That way you can play a number of different riffs in this way.

same here, possibly a mac thing. It also crashes sometimes when I press save... ultra annoying.

Me too, and I'm on a PC. The processor will arbitrarily go to 100% and stay there. Sometimes when only opening an already added VST, or deleting a track...

Downgraded to 5.2 and it works great. Too bad, I really wanted to try this MIDI clip transpose thingy!

anyone else using osx 10.4.7 on PPC macs having issues? i've donwloaded it but no way I'm installing it until the valiant forum lab mice give me the all clear.

no issues with live
but safari is crashing left and right since i installed 10.4.7
text edit keeps crashing as well

no probs here with 10.4.7

some ppl complained of a dodgy build of 10.4.6 incremental update thru software update. fix is ez, dl the combo update and reinstall...

OS X 10.4.7, Powerbook 1.67, 512 MB RAM.

live is running grand here on 10.4.7, as are most other apps, except safari which has felt sluggish since updating.

This launches fine for me.

The crashes when I load a set that worked in 5.2.

Back to 5.2 I o.

Bummer. I was looking forward to the VST GUI fix.

Ugh, super crashy for me. 10.3.9 G5. I eagerly installed this new upgrade for the extended Tranzport functionality but this is the buggiest release I've seen since I started with Live 3.

just out curiosity, 5.2.1, crashes...is automat being used in the sets that crash?
