Freeze from Session view ?

Post by wildcon » Wed Jun 07, 2006 11:42 am

Hi,

I've done a search on this but can't find the answer, and can't find anything in the Manual.

How do you freeze tracks from the session view.

for instance - If I have a midi loop of 4 bars with VST's can I just freeze the loop without going to the arrange page.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can't freeze from session view, but you could just arm an audio track and record the audio from the MIDI track you want to freeze.

Then just save the MIDI clips as Live clips so you can go back and edit them later.

Okay,

Maybe I'm being thick here, but I don't get a Freeze option in session view.

Where exactly does the cursor be to give this option ?

Thanks

if you select a clip, one of the options in the main edit menu is freeze clip (or unfreeze if already frozen). that's never hidden.
