2 sound devices 1 for input 1 for output.. can i do this ?
I am trying a few things out on a windows xp system
I need 2 audio devices.. both i can get asio working ok for
I need to use one as the input and one as the output at the same time.
I see no way to use 2 sound devices like this under XP version of Live (5.03)
can this be done ?
I am more familiar with Macs which is a no brainer to do it on but I need this done on XP
cheers

not to sure how... it changes my dx soundcard driver to asio and shows up in the asio list in Live but I only have a choice to choose one or the other not both sound cards at the same time inside livelongjohns wrote:i think this is possible by using asio4all

ok i am a little confusedstudio615 wrote:You can absolutely do it on a windows machine. Make sure the drivers are loaded for each device, and that they are both hooked up or installed. This is why they let you pick the input device and output device seperately in Live. Just install them and see what happens.
in livw 5.03 i can choose 1 device and then configure it's in's and out's
i can see my 2 asio sound cards but can only choose one or the other.. what am i missing..?
thanks

thanks i did that and yes it now shows my mlan outputs as under asio4all but not the inputs.. the built in soundcard has both in's and outs showing under asio4all.. basically I need to use the mlan inputs and have the option of the soundcard outpu in the setup i am running.. oh well maybe next boot it will change again.. it is strange to me that things seem to come and go in part with Asio4all..Machinate wrote:you should be looking inside the Asio4all control panel instead. Enable the inputs and outputs there, and they should function under the Asio4all driver in Live.
