Hello!

I have a problem with discodsp's highlife sampler... see there

here's my original message:

Most of the time it's really straightforward yes... but there's a problem here. Screenshots make it clearer:

here's how vst paramaters of discovery demo are displayed in ableton:

as you can see, all you have to do is to move the sliders... this couldn't be easier.

now, here's highlife in the same condition:

looks like a bug... any ideas?

Thanks! :D

Any ideas guys?

This the plugin developers fault.
You'll have to ask the makers of the plugin to make 128 parameters visible in Live. (thats the limit)

what????????

but what if your plugin has more than 128 parameters???? why live limits itself to this 8bit-era limit??? :?

This is really bad news.

thats because Live is a real-time application. Having 10 000 parameters in a plugin is just insane.

Ableton said that they are working on something that would allow us to specify which parameters are visible. But i wouldn't expect that feature before Live 6....

ok... I understand having too many parameters can be bad for performances.
But since live is now also a production tool, we should have the possibility to choose which parameters are available. I'd say this is a must, and it's too bad it's not possible now.
Anyway thank you for your kind answer.

Waiting for the fix...
