Apple use Toshiba drives and Live 5.2b4.

Doesn't exactly blow me away either...it would be great if I could discover I was doing something wrong.

No, not Rosetta... it's the 5.2 beta. I got between 34-39% on my 2.0GHz MacBook Pro. Are the iMacs really that much faster to get a 26-29% score?

Other than that, I do have to say that I am ECSTATIC about the MacBook Pro. The graphics are sooo smooth and the GUI is so responsive even when doing intensive music work. Live runs a million times better than my old Powerbook, and feels just about the same as my Dual 2.5 G5.

Logic is simply amazing on this machine because of its optimized usage of dual procs.

When Live 6 comes out, it'll be bananas!

Hmmm...this is somewhat disappointing...though an upgrade to a MBP 1.83 would be quite a step up from my iBook 933 that won't even run AdamJay's test! 8O

i decided to download the beta because of this.

i'm getting about the same rates as the imacs.

i haven't seen it spike to 39 percent at all.
