Midi-Controller keys+endless rotary knobs. Recommendations?
Hi,
I currently own edirol pcm-r30 (http://www.rolandus.com/products/detail ... ID=PCR-M30) for controlling Live. A great controller, but it has one disadvantage: it does not have "endless" rotary knobs. When doing a gig, the lack of endless rotating knobs bothers me, because I cannot start filter settings at the programmed setting in Live, but they start at the point where the rotary knob is situated. (Sorry, I do not know how to explain exactly)
Is there a controller outthere that has both keys and endless rotary knobs. I know I can buy a Behringer BCR-2000, but I'd like to have both integrated.
TIA

The Novation ReMotes (2,4&5 octave) have 8 standard knobs and 8 endless rotary controllers (as well as 24 buttons, 8 sliders, a joystick and a touchpad)
Very happy with my ReMote 25.

I don't think Novation has proper endless rotary implementation anywhere across their line.
Check this out:
http://www.novationmusic.com/answerbase ... php?id=200
"The Remote does not incorporate MIDI feedback."
The X-Station doesn't, either. Can't send relative messages, can't listen to MIDI output from Live. This means you're still in for an increment jump.
I always hear good things about doepfer & the BCR2000 for endless. Maybe things will get better at NAMM on the 19th. Anybody know any more about new Faderfoxes?

it does, everything on the microkontrol works fine except the display-change (no feedback) but i don´t need em anyway. and i like the keys, especially for drum-programming they are wonderful and not that kinda pseudo-piano like many others. just designed for synths/sound-editing.
doepfer´s pocket dial also is a great deal for endless knobs and it´s made very solid. great as sucking on a lemon. easy to switch the table, four buttons for four setups (which makes it easily a 64 endless).
those both controllers is all i take and need (live 5 is my only sequencer, so they really do work with it endlessly ).
